Human Ken Doll Rodrigo Alves rumoured for Eurovision 2019
Human Ken Doll Rodrigo Alves has hinted at plans to enter the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.
Former Celebrity Big Brother star Rodrigo Alves, who earned the moniker Human Ken Doll after undergoing dozens of cosmetic surgeries, has hinted on social media that he is set to enter the European singing contest.
Alves shared selfies from a recording studio on Instagram, teasing: “The secret to the success is to have the right people around you, who believes that you can do it working on a new pop hit which will be out next year !! #excited !! #eurovision !!”
The Brazilian-born aspiring singer, who is based in London, did not specify which European country he is planning to represent at the contest given many countries pick their entries through national selection shows.
However, fans have speculated that Alves could be lined up to represent San Marino, a microstate with just 33,000 residents that has a reputation for unconventional Eurovision entries.

On the same day that Alves posted the hint, San Marino broadcaster RTV put out a statement that says: “We are very happy to announce that the artist and the song for [the Eurovision Song Contest 2019] has been chosen.”
The channel’s Director General Carlo Romeo confirmed an “international” artist was representing the country, adding: “We chose the best project, fully supported and approved with a wonderful international artist.
“Fingers crossed, but I think we will have a very good entry. Good luck to all our friends and colleagues involved in the organization of such an important TV event, a world-wide event based on a joyous combination of music and dialogue, spectacle and friendship.”
In another Instagram post, Rodrigo Alves teased, “I have inspired people around the would to follow their dreams and be whatever they want to be in life without having the fear to be judged just like I did and I do, now I would like to inspire people with my music, in 2019 I want to sing and dance and to put a smile on peoples face around the world!
“I also [feel] very grateful to have a great team of producers working with me to make this happen dreams do come true just keep dreaming and work for it.”
Alves was removed from Celebrity Big Brother in August 2018 after unspecified “inappropriate” behaviour.
The reality star, who had already been given a warning for using racist language, was ejected from the Channel 5 show off-air with his exit remaining unexplained.
The 2019 Eurovision Song Contest will take place in May in Tel Aviv, Israel.
