Christian Keyes calls for gay men to stop ‘harassing’ him on Instagram

American actor and model Christian Keyes has called for other men to stop posting “aggressive” sexual comments and sending him direct messages on Instagram.
Christian Keyes, who starred in the Bounce TV soap opera Saints & Sinners, posted a video on Instagram, explaining that he respects the LGBT+ community but that gay and bisexual men need to stop “harassing” him.
“I got nothing but love for all other brothers and sisters in the gay community. Period,” Keyes explained to his 346,000 followers on Saturday (December 29).

“It ain’t my business, that’s between you, who you love, and god.”
The 43-year-old actor, who is currently starring in BET’s In Contempt, added: “With that being said, and respecting each other’s truth, if I respect yours, respect mine.
“I say let’s not do that and let’s just respect who people are, genuinely. I think that’s a fair request.”

“Gentlemen, let’s not be in the comments section with the eggplant emojis and, you know, the sexual comments. I’m not a fan of that.”
Christian Keyes wants the harassment to end
He continued: “I appreciate you supporting my work but let’s not be in the DM [telling me]: ‘Hey sexy, what’s up? What’s good?’
“Nothing, absolutely nothing. So, again, if I respect your truth, respect mine. Respect people’s truths.
“No-one need to be harassing nobody and doing all of that, man. It’s too much. It’s too aggressive.
“I say let’s not do that and let’s just respect who people are, genuinely. I think that’s a fair request.”

Keyes’ video, which he admitted “might get me into trouble,” has been viewed nearly 40,000 times.
The actor has previously starred in films including Perfect Combination (2010); Lord, All Men Can’t Be Dogs (2011); Note to Self (2012); Act Like You Love Me (2013); and The Man in 3B (2015).
He was also cast in two plays by Tyler Perry: Madea Goes to Jail and What’s Done in the Dark.
