Caitlyn Jenner wins the 10 year challenge with transition photos
Caitlyn Jenner has reflected on her transition as she took part in the latest viral social media craze, the 10 year challenge.
Jenner became the latest celebrity to take part in the viral craze, where people share two photo of themselves from 10 years apart.
While most people were keen to show off their bulking-up and personal style upgrades, Jenner reminded everyone about just how far she’s come in the past decade.
The TV star shared a pre-transition photo of herself from a 2009 poker tournament, together with a more recent shot of herself at a Culture Club performance.
She wrote: “Now THAT is a #10YearChallenge Be authentic to yourself! .”
Fans quickly declared Jenner the winner of the challenge.
One wrote: “She wins, you can all go home.”
Another added: “Amazing 10 Year Challenge Best One I Seen So Far ❤️”
Trans people have embraced the 10 year challenge
While many trans people do not share photos from before their transition, some on social media embraced the 10 year challenge.
One Twitter user wrote: “2009 to 2019. I think being openly trans makes this aging challenge especially weird because I get two puberties to look different.
“It’s basically cheating ,” they joked.
Another trans tweeter asked “#HowHardDidPubertyHitYou?” before answering: “It hit me twice but the first time was wack .”
One user said: “I did puberty twice you got nothing on me .”
“10 years in time and dang puberty hit so hard it hit me twice ,” said a different user.
Caitlyn Jenner recently had a lucky escape from a fire
Caitlyn Jenner was among thousands forced to flee their homes in November, after fires ravaged the area surrounding her Malibu home.
The former Olympian’s luxury home was reported to have been damaged by the fire, while Kim Kardashian West, Will Smith, Lady Gaga and Alyssa Milano also had to flee their homes in the star-studded area.
Jenner assured fans she is safe after fleeing the house in videos uploaded to Instagram.
In the first clip on November 9, Jenner and reported partner Sophia Hutchins confirmed they and their dogs were at a “safe house.”
Jenner said: “Hi, Caitlyn and Sophia here. Well, we’re safe. At a safe house.
“Don’t know if the house made it or not, it’s still up in the air. Anyway, we’re safe and sound, and the dogs are in the backyard.”
Hutchins explained that “the dogs are in the pool, swimming around, having a good time,” before Jenner quipped: “They’re having a good day – I don’t think we’re having that good a day… but anyway!”
