Queer Eye stars reveal flawless Britney, Gaga looks on Lip Sync Battle
Queer Eye‘s Fab Five have revealed their looks for a Lip Sync Battle crossover, and they look flawless.
Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Karamo Brown, Bobby Berk and Jonathan Van Ness, the stars of Netflix reality show Queer Eye, are taking part in Paramount Network’s Lip Sync Battle airing Thursday (January 17).
Clips ahead of the episode revealed the Fab Five’s outfits for the challenge, and they’re going big on gay icons.
Queer Eye fab five take on Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé
Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Bobby Berk are taking on iconic Britney Spears looks for a lip sync to hit “Work B**ch.”
Tan France donned a vintage Britney look from her Circus era, while Antoni Porowski is dressed in Britney’s classic air hostess outfit from the 2004 video for “Toxic.”
Meanwhile, Bobby Berk took on her red PVC outfit from “Oops!…I Did It Again” complete with an unshaven beard that would not pass muster on RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The Britney send-up faces competition from Karamo Brown and Jonathan Van Ness, who took on Lady Gaga and Beyoncé looks for a cover of “Telephone.”
The pair both derived their looks from the “Telephone” video, with Jonathan Van Ness opting for a black studded Gaga outfit and Karamo Brown opting for a bejewelled blue Beyoncé costume.
In teaser clips, Karamo revealed the challenge was the first time he has ever walked in high heels.
It’s not the first time the Fab Five have taken part in a TV crossover.
The Queer Eye stars previously got baking for a special episode of Netflix cooking show Nailed It.
Judging by the Lip Sync Battle teasers, though, their lip syncing skills are much better than their baking.
Queer Eye season 3: Netflix show return in 2019
Those craving a bigger fix of the Fab Five might not have long to wait, as the queer quintet will be returning for a third season of Queer Eye in 2019.
However, there’s one big change for the show’s upcoming third season, as it will no longer be set in Georgia.
Much of the first two seasons have been based in and around the city of Atlanta — which came to the fore as the show explored hard-hitting issues including race in America and religious homophobia.
However, the third season has been filmed in Kansas City, Missouri.
Tan France recently teased an upcoming episode featuring a lesbian participant.
He said: “We have our first lesbian on the show this year, yep, and she’s formidable. What we do with her, I think you’re gonna love it.”
It comes after Queer Eye Season 2 saw the Fab Five making over a trans man, 30-year-old Skyler, for the first time.
