Gay dads are raising a plastic doll as their spoiled son

A couple have splashed out on designer watches and expensive dinners for their spoiled son, who happens to be a plastic doll.

AJ Sapolnick, 74 and his husband Mark Kirby, 65, decided to have a child that wouldnā€™t ā€œimpedeā€ their lifestyle, after their friends began starting families.

So they bought their son Digby Du Pont from a market in Paris in 1990.

Sapolnick told the New York Post: ā€œAll our friends started having children, and we got very annoyed because they had to cancel engagements and there were always excuses.ā€

The family have celebrated Digbyā€™s milestones, including birthdays at restaurants and a bar mitzvah in Long Island City.

The couple have also bought their son Cartier and Rolex watches.

Kirby added: ā€œHeā€™s our perfect child.

ā€œInitially it looks very strange, but as you get to know us, and be with us ā€” it doesnā€™t seem so unusual.ā€

The family are even on a ten-week tour of Asia, where Digby will have a new wardrobe created for him in Bangkok, Thailand.

The trio even wear matching outfits, too. ā€œI found that if weā€™re wearing contrasting or competing patterns it looks so overwhelming [in photographs],ā€ Kirby added.

Last Christmas, a grandmother has won hearts by changing her trans grandsonā€™s childhood toy into a male trans dollā€”complete with his new name.

The heartwarming gift has gone viral after a user called Gabe posted pictures of it on Twitter with the caption: ā€œSo when I was a kid, I had a Raggedy Ann doll given to me by my grandmother.

ā€œIt had my birth name embroidered into a heart on its chest. This Christmas, my Grandmother borrowed it and gave it back, now with pants, shorter hair, and my new name sewn in place.ā€

ā€œHeā€™s trans, like me,ā€ added Gabe, whose post on Christmas Day attracted more than 130,000 retweets and likes.
