RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 finale: Who should snatch the crown?
A RuPaul’s Drag Race finale has never been this close.
A win for any of the top four—Trinity the Tuck, Monique Heart, Monet X Change or Naomi Smalls—would be a victory in its own way.
The finale will test the queens’ ability to write, sing, dance and—hopefully—slay a lip sync. How will they fare?
Trinity the Tuck
Report card: 1st (4 wins, 1 high, 2 safe, 1 low, 1 bottom)
A Trinity victory would be a win for professionalism, congeniality and consistency. She takes the game at face value, listens to critiques and—judging by our poll—is the overwhelming fan favourite.

Top lewk? Wavey garms.
Top challenge? Snatch Game.
Top lip sync? Emotions.
Top hurdle? I admire her, but I don’t adore her. She also courts controversy, like when she said bio-queens shouldn’t compete on Drag Race:

Although she later clarified her stance:

Chances? If it’s off report cards, Trinity wins. But it didn’t help Shea, it didn’t help Shangela. Trinity’s writing, singing and lip-syncing skills are consistently strong, but they can’t match the others at their best.

Monique Heart
Report card: 2nd (3 wins, 1 high, 3 safe, 2 bottom)
A Monique victory would be as joyous as watching her goop all expectations—she was rumoured to be first out—to showcase the biggest ho-up in Drag Race history. There aren’t many people who could harp on about Jesus for 10 weeks and still leave me wanting more. Under her lashy eye.
Top lewk? Entrance:

Top challenge? Talent show.
Top lip sync? Emotions (and it wasn’t even that great).
Top hurdle? I think Monique has the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent to have BenDeLaKilled All Stars 5. But she’s missing the calm, confident competence that previous winners—and the other finalists—possess.
Chances? This versatile queen has been both top and bottom when it comes to singing live. But in a lip sync? The top two have nothing on the bottoms in this arena.

Monet X Change
Report card: 3rd (3 wins, 1 high, 2 safe, 1 low, 2 bottom)
A Monet victory would be a win for the underdog. You root for her, and she has a talent people actually part with their cash to see.
Top lewk? Boots! Thicc, femme and powerful—it’s an aesthetic she should stick to.
Top challenge? Lady Bunny roast.
Top lip sync? I’m in the minority here but—from what we saw—Monet was feeling Come Rain or Come Shine
Top hurdle? Similar to Monique, the lack of time between Season 10 and All Stars 4 shows. The fact she can’t afford to waste a good look when not being judged—either entrance or LaLaPaRuZa—isn’t reassuring to those looking for the next Drag Superstar That Lives in a Hallway, or something.
Chances? She’s responsible for the single greatest lip sync ever to grace our screens. If she repeats that, it’ll be hard to crown anyone else. But inconsistency is her downfall.

Naomi Smalls
Report card: 4th (1 win—2 if you count LaLaPaRuZa—3 high, 2 safe, 3 bottom)
I’m rooting for a Naomi victory. She’s served the best looks, drama and talent—All Stars 4 would have flatlined without her. She doesn’t get dragged down with the haters, and most of all has a refreshing sense of perspective on the whole show.
Top lewk? Prince.
Top challenge? Best Judy.
Top lip sync? Adrenaline.
Top hurdle? The report card. But I still protest that she could have won the first four challenges. If we include her real win—and LaLaPaRuZa—that would amount to six. If she kills it in the final, the report card shouldn’t rule her out.
Chances? She’s the best lip-sync assassin Drag Race has ever seen. I cannot wait.
This queen certainly has it all.
