RuPaul’s Drag Race fans couldn’t hide their joy when screenwriter, producer and actress Lena Waithe appeared as a guest judge on the show.
Waithe, creator of drama series The Chi, joined comedian Wanda Sykes on the panel of episode 11 of season 11 of Drag Race.
Waithe made history by becoming the first Black American woman to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series in 2017 for her work on the comedy series Master of None.
And fans were delighted to see her appear as a guest on Drag Race.
“@LENAWAITHE IS FINALLY ON DRAG RACE I AM HOLLERING!!!” one person wrote on Twitter.

RuPaul then summoned six of the season’s eliminated queens – Plastique Tiara, Ariel Versace, Shuga Cain, Scarlet Envy, Honey Davenport and Soju – for the main challenge.
Each contestant had to give a makeover to one of the returning queens to transform them into a member of their own drag family.
Silky and Nina West were ended up lipsyncing for their lives to TLC’s No Scrubs, which saw Silky saved.
The Ocean’s Eight star was a guest of Stephen Colbert to promote her latest film, The Hustle.
During the chat, she opened up about her love of RuPaul’s Drag Race. “I love that show so much!” she said, adding she had yet to meet RuPaul.
Colbert surprised the star bringing out RuPaul himself, who was meant to be Colbert’s guest the following day.
“I love you so much! Thank you so much” Hathaway exclaimed.
