Westlife’s Markus Feehily is expecting a baby with his fiancé
Westlife singer Markus Feehily has announced he is expecting a child with his partner.
The former boyband star announced on social media that he is expecting a child with fiancé Cailean O’Neill.
Feehily, who who turned 39 on Tuesday (May 28), thanked fans for sending birthday wishes as he shared the special news.

He said: “Thanks for all the Birthday wishes everyone!!
“It really makes this my most special birthday EVER to let everyone know that later this year we will become Dads for the first time.
“This is the proudest moment of our lives and we are beyond excited to say it out loud! ❤️ M&Cx”
The star shared a photo of himself and O’Neill posing next to a sonogram and baby clothes.
Feehily has spoken about his dreams of becoming a dad for several years.
In 2017, he teased: “I do really believe that I would be a great job… I would be a great dad, we would be great parents.
“I am looking into all the options and obviously it is a little more complex for a gay couple than a heterosexual couple because they can just do it, literally.
“I am more ready now then I ever have been, I have never felt more eager and broody.”

The singer’s bandmates and friends posted congratulations.
Kian Egan wrote: “Such huge excitement here today! Not only is it @markusmoments birthday but then for him and Cailean to share there news that THEY ARE HAVING A BABY!
“Aggggggggggghhhhhhh… you gotta love this westlife family! 10 westlife babies now!!! “
Actor Jack Brett Anderson added: “Over the moon for you Mark!!! Happiest bday ❤️ “
Westlife fans also shared congratulations.
One wrote: “Omg!!!!! congratulations Mark! Such a day to announce this. So happy for ye. You’ll be the best dads. enjoy every moment of it. It’s very precious.”
Another added: “IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU TWO THIS IS CRAZY IM CRYING❤❤❤❤ you’re both gonna be the best dads omg congratulations my loves.”
Feehily came out as gay in 2005, while the band were at the height of their fame.
Speaking to PinkNews previously, he explained: “Honestly, it was probably the most difficult experience of my entire life, by miles it stands out further than everything else.
“I suppose I became paranoid that press were gonna be after it, I was really scared so I thought the only thing to do here was just to get in the closet, lock the door and swallow the key.”
In 2019, Westlife reunited for a comeback tour, though former member Brian McFadden ruled out a return to the band.
