Morrissey says Nigel Farage should be Prime Minister

Outspoken singer Morrissey has said that Nigel Farage would make a good Prime Minister, repeated his endorsement of a far-right party, and claimed that “everyone prefers their own race.”
In an interview conducted by his own nephew and self-published by the singer on Monday (June 24), the former Smiths frontman hinted at his admiration for Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage.
Morrissey claims Nigel Farage would be a ‘good Prime Minister’
The singer said: “It’s obvious that he would make a good Prime Minister, if any of us can actually remember what a good Prime Minister is.”
Repeating his endorsement for the fringe far-right For Britain party, Morrissey added: “I think Anne Marie Waters is the only British party leader who can unite the left and right…. the UK is a dangerously hateful place now, and I think we need someone to put a stop to the lunacy and to speak for everyone.

“I see Anne Marie Waters as this person. She is extremely intelligent, ferociously dedicated to this country, she is very engaging, and also very funny at times.”
Dismissing claims he is racist, the singer added: “If you call someone racist in modern Britain you are telling them that you have run out of words. You are shutting the debate down and running off. The word is meaningless now.

“Everyone ultimately prefers their own race… does this make everyone racist? “
He continued: “The people who reduce every conversation down to a matter of race could be said to be the most traditionally ‘racist’ because everything in life is NOT exclusively a question of race, so why make it so? “
The singer added: “Diversity can’t possibly be a strength if everyone has ideas that will never correspond. If borders are such terrible things then why did they ever exist in the first place? Borders bring order.”
Morrissey is far from a stranger to divisive comments.
Following a terror attack in Manchester in 2017, he railed against British Muslims.
The singer claimed that London Mayor Sadiq Khan, one of the country’s most prominent Muslim politicians, “does not condemn Islamic State”.
Mr Khan does regularly speak out to condemn both the so-called Islamic State and Islamist extremism.
In his critically-panned 2013 autobiography, Morrissey opened up about relationships with men.
He has also claimed that “if more men were homosexual, there would be no wars”.
