Cheryl to appear as guest judge on Drag Race UK

Cheryl is the latest famous face to be confirmed as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
The former Girl’s Aloud singer will make her debut on the upcoming British spin-off of the drag queen reality show, which is set to air on BBC Three in September.

In a release, she said: “I am a huge fan of Drag Race. I have always admired the work and dedication that goes into drag and have learned over the years that it is an art form.
“It is not only fun and glamorous but equally as skillful and admirable, I find it incredibly inspiring. I just love the make up, creativity and the drama. I am honoured to be a guest judge.”

On Twitter, she added: “I am SO excited to tell you that I will be a guest judge on the first ever series of @dragraceukbbc!!
“I am such a huge fan of the show and can not wait to watch our UK queens make their mark! Coming soon to @bbcthree Gentlemen Start your engines and may the best woman win!”
One Drag Race fan quipped: “Cheryl could destroy both bottom 2 queens in a lip sync of one of her songs. She has had years & years of practice.”
Another added: “IF WE DONT GET A “FIGHT FOR THIS LOVE” LIPSYNC I SWEAR TO ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY.”
Twiggy joins star-studded Drag Race UK guest judge line-up
Model Twiggy was also announced as a guest judge.
She said: “You see the most gorgeous women in the most glamorous outfits.
“I love the creativity of the clothes and the makeup. I have been to a few drag shows and they’re brilliant and fun.”
The pair join a growing line-up including Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield, Chewing Gum creator Michaela Coel, Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams, Geri Horner of the Spice Girls and Jade Thirlwall of Little Mix.
Graham Norton and Alan Carr will serve as judging panel regulars across the eight-part series.
The series will “will showcase the most fabulous drag queens that the UK has to offer” as part of the search for the UK’s First Drag Superstar, according to the BBC.
The show is yet to announce which of the UK’s many popular drag queens will be competing.
