The real winner of this year’s Emmys was Jonathan Van Ness and his strapless black minidress

Putting the ‘fab’ in Fab Five, Jonathan Van Ness owned the red carpet at the 2019 Creative Arts Emmys in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The Queer Eye star threw on a strapless black minidress adorned with an elaborate mint green satin bow on the back that trailed him as he strutted the carpet.
At the 72nd awards, Van Ness wore the Christian Siriano dress with heeled platform peep-toe boots by Rick Owens and opted to sweep his long hair up to complete the look.
While the little black dress is often pinned for that understated look, Van Ness rocked a customised version of the dress from the American fashion designer, known for winning Project Runway in 2008.
Siriano also designed Billy Porter’s tuxedo gown worn to the Oscars earlier this year.

While striding down the red carpet, fashion expert Tan France helped keep Van Ness’ bow trail neat as the cameras flashed.
“Their friendship & support teaches me so much,” Van Ness later Instagrammed. “To ask for help, they affirm me in all the ways friends should, and they’ve also taught me that I can trust them.”
After stunning the red carpet, Van Ness uploaded his look to Instagram and captioned it: “Put a bow on that ass.”
It was a series of runway looks that all served up the casts’ unique personalities, as all the Fab Five family rocked up and stunned.

Karamo Brown, the culture expert, wore a Versace fur-trimmed coat with chunky gold buttoning and a safety pin on the lapel.
France wore a traditional jacquard sherwani in cream, with beautiful burgundy and blue floral embroidery by Varun Bahl Couture.
Interior designer Bobby Berk, a New York Fashion Week regular, donned a relaxed suit by 3.1 Phillip Lim, complete with a black neckerchief.
While professional heartthrob Antoni Porowski wore a clean-cut Tom Ford tuxedo.
Dressing well came especially in handy that night considering the Fab Five picked up four awards that evening: Outstanding Structured Reality Program, Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program, Outstanding Casting For A Reality Program, and Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program.
