One of the hugging toddlers from that adorable viral video has two dads
In what might have been the most wholesome thing to happen in 2019 so far, a video of two toddlers hugging that went viral just got even better – one of them has two dads.
The clip, which had the internet doing a collective ‘aww’ this month, saw two-year-olds Maxwell Hanson and Finnegan McKenna running to hug one another in the middle of the street.
But the boys, in-between being famous, stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show this week, and and it turns out young Maxwell has two dads.
The adorable families united – though, there was no iconic hug from the kids – on the talkshow to the cheering of the crowd.
A video of two toddlers running to give each other a big hug has gotten a lot of love. The boys, 26-month-old Maxwell and 27-month-old Finnegan, have known each other for more than a year. https://t.co/UdqB8xxUsH pic.twitter.com/2MuFYGORGD

The families met in the Washington Heights neighbourhood in New York City. Their kids bonded while the families dined at a local restaurant.
“You know, at first, I guess it was a forced friendship because when they’re one, they don’t really know what they are doing,” Maxwell’s dad, Michael Cisneros told DeGeneres.
“But now, they’re inseparable. They’re together multiple times a week.”
He added: “They’re definitely huggers and they hold hands while walking all the time.
“And they love to dance with each other and they have this secret language among themselves. They’re like little dolphins.”
Cisneros posted the video of the hugging toddlers on his personal Facebook and captioned it: “I have no idea how to make things go viral, for those that do… please share.”
It tallied more than 12,000 shares in under two weeks and quickly generated memes all across Twitter.
