Jonathan Van Ness has a plan to ‘zhuzh up’ Boris Johnson’s hair
UK prime minister Boris Johnson can breathe a sigh of relief, because Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness knows just what to do to fix his hair.
During a quickfire interview on CNN, the Queer Eye grooming expert was asked whose hair he would rather “get in and zhuzh up” – Johnson’s or Donald Trump’s.
“Why would you put me in that position?” Van Ness asked.
“What I would do is give them both a great bottle of Nair and be like, ‘Enjoy this new shampoo, it’s fantastic, it’s formulated just for you, it’s a thickening shampoo.’”
“It would be a makeover for both of them,” he added.
Nair is a hair removal shampoo.
Jonathan Van Ness has been vocal in his opposition to Donald Trump.
Van Ness is well-known for going above and beyond on Queer Eye to help people improve their look in a way that expresses their individuality – so his refusal to help either Johnson or Trump is telling.
The Queer Eye star has been vocal in his opposition to the policies of Donald Trump.
Last week, the reality-TV star endorsed Elizabeth Warren, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for the 2020 presidential election.
What I would do is give them both a great bottle of Nair and be like, ‘Enjoy this new shampoo, it’s fantastic, it’s formulated just for you, it’s a thickening shampoo.
Writing on Twitter, the Fab Five member said: “The moment I knew I was endorsing @ewarren was last month when I misplaced my HIV meds.
“It cost $3500 to replace them out of pocket with ‘amazing’ plantinum [sic] level insurance. Healthcare shouldn’t be for profit ever, it’s a human right.”
The Queer Eye star recently revealed that he is living with HIV.
Shortly before that, he urged his followers to stand up against Trump and vice president Mike Pence by supporting Planned Parenthood.
Van Ness recently revealed that he is living with HIV, and said he had decided to open up about it in order to tackle the “stigmatisation of the LGBT+ community” in the Trump era.
In a video shared on Instagram, Van Ness said: “Everyone deserves a sex life that is safe, fun and empowering.
“Talking with your partners about STDs and safer sex is an important part of any healthy and sexual relationship.
“STDs are extremely common and nothing to be ashamed of – most people who have sex will get an STD at some point in their lives.”
