RuPaul just announced Celebrity Drag Race and fans are conflicted, to say the least

RuPaul’s reign of televised drag queen realness is tightening its grip as the host unveiled the latest instalment today: RuPaul’s Celebrity Drag Race.
Set to launch in 2020, the spinoff to the flagship franchise will feature an all-celebrity cast as well as bringing back queens from previous series to give them the “Drag Race treatment”, according to a tweet from the show’s main account.

“Doing drag does not change who you are, it reveals who you are,” RuPaul said in a press release.
“I can’t wait for the world to see what happens when our celebrity contestants get all up in drags!”
So, is it going to be like the original?
According to Vanity Fair, kind of.
Each episode will revolve around three celebrity guest judges powdering their faces and zipping on their knee-high heeled boots.
An army of Drag Race alumni will be there to aid them: Alyssa Edwards, Asia O’Hara, Bob the Drag Queen, Kim Chi, Monét X Change, Monique Heart, Nina West, Trinity the Tuck, Trixie Mattel, and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo.
A cash prize to be donated to a charity of the winner’s choice and the grand title of the first America’s Next Celebrity Drag Superstar are dangled in front of the contestants.
No celebrities have been announced yet, but considering the show’s star-studded guest judges – from Lady Gaga to Miley Cyrus – the Emmy award-winning show will have no problem sourcing them.

On top of the two spin-offs, two holiday specials as well as the array of Drag Races set to take over the rest of the world, Twitter was… conflicted.
As another spin-off is set to collide onto TV and laptop screens, some LGBT+ Twitter users expressed their exhaustion at the news.

Moreover, considering the line-up is still under lock and key, some users were weary of how the show will ultimately unfold as a show that represents the queer community to mainstream audiences:
