Caitlyn Jenner is reportedly set to appear on I’m A Celebrity
Caitlyn Jenner will reportedly be heading to the jungle to take part in reality show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.
The Sun reports that the transgender ex-Olympian is set to appear on the British reality show after bosses agreed to pay her a £500,000 fee.
I’m A Celebrity bosses pay big money for Caitlyn Jenner
A source told the newspaper: “She’s such a huge name and a great get for producers.
“ITV think she is one of their best ever signings. It’s a real bolt from the blue.
“They’ve asked her every year for a long time, but she finally felt the time was right.”
Jenner, 70, would be the first transgender person to take part in the show.
The former Olympic athlete came out as a transgender woman in April 2015, a month after she finalised her divorce with Kris Jenner, whom she has two biological children with.
Jenner is now living with Sophia Hutchins, 23, though the pair have repeatedly shrugged off rumours about a romantic relationship.
Caitlyn Jenner has raised thousands for trans causes
Since coming out as trans, Jenner has donated tens of thousands of dollars to LGBT+ charities to support work helping young trans people.
The Caitlyn Jenner Foundation, run by Jenner and Hutchins, launched in 2017 with a mission of “supporting organizations doing on-the-ground and impactful work to empower the trans community and further trans rights.”
Jenner told Fox10 Phoenix last year: “I want to concentrate on this next generation coming up, the ones that are 5 to 15 to 20 years old, this next generation coming up to make it easier for them. Don’t put all of these challenges out in front of them. Make it more normal.
“Today it’s so simple. I wake up in the morning and be myself all day.”
Jenner said: “Of the L, the G, the B and the T, the T is by far the most misunderstood and the most underfunded. When you have a foundation like this, there’s a progression of how you help — what’s the best way to help? And that constantly grows.”
