Two gay men perform breathtaking and mesmerising dance routine upon first meeting for new dating show
The internet has gone all soft and gooey over a heart-warming video of two gay men meeting for the first time while performing a breathtaking dance routine.
Flirty Dancing is a new Channel 4 show which pairs up singletons and teaches them a dance routine separately, before bringing them together to perform it on their first date.
After debuting in January the show returned for its second series earlier this month, with its second episode featuring a same-sex dance.
Ryan, a 25-year-old wigs assistant, applied for Flirty Dancing having been single his “entire life”.
“I have no luck on dating apps, he said. “There was one week where I had four dates planned and I got stood up on every one.”
Ryan said that he had struggled with body confidence issues for a long time, but after losing weight was ready to find his ideal partner – ideally “with a sexy accent – Scottish or Irish”.
He was paired up with Garry, a 33-year-old Glaswegian property manager.
Garry said had been single for two years before entering the show and was looking for his “forever someone”.
“Some people are looking for long-terms relationships, some people just want to go out and have fun, it’s really difficult to find someone who’s on the same page as you,” he said.
The pair performed a dance to Paloma Faith’s ‘Lullaby’, with a clip of the routine going viral on Twitter.

Following their performance, Garry and Ryan hit it off after meeting for a second date, with both saying that they felt as though they already knew each other.
Fans of the couple were relieved to learn that after the show, Garry and Ryan met for a crazy golf date in which Garry “got a hole in one”.
They’re now planning their next adventure together, and we’re going hat shopping.
