Gay acrobats perform beautiful and tender talent show dance routine and it will stun you into silence
French audiences were blown away by a TV talent show performance by Guillaume and Arthur, two gay acrobats with a message against homophobia.
Guillaume and Arthur performed an incredibly moving dance routine on La France a un incroyable talent (France Has Got Incredible Talent) on Tuesday night.
As the two men took the stage, singer and judge Hélène Ségara asked them if they had anything to say before performing.
“We’re going to present a number against homophobia,” Arthur said.
The pair then break into a beautifully tender and graceful interpretative dance performance set to a cover of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, ending with a kiss on the lips.

“It was so beautiful and it was so tender at the same time,” Ségara told Guillaume and Arthur. “I think that with or without a message, I found it beautiful, and it felt good.”
“Two boys kissing on the lips is not something we often see on television, and that touched me deeply,” said singer and actress Marianne James, another of the show’s judges.
“Violence continues to rise, so there is a battle to be fought here,” said comedian Éric Antoine, another judge, later adding on Twitter: “This fight is unfortunately still necessary. Thank you for being here.”
“Thank you Eric,” a fan replied. “Whenever a public person such as you takes a stand for tolerance, for a cause, it advances. You are a force whose effects must not be ignored, so thank you!!!”
And it seems French viewers loved the performance just as much as the judges did.
“Bravo bravo bravo and they deserve to be finalists and winner! 2 talented artists!” tweeted one enthusiastic fan.
“It was beautiful and touching, I loved it,” agreed another. “Yes, the fight against homophobia is unfortunately still relevant and we must not give up.”
The duo earned four ‘yeses’ from the judges, and Guillaume and Arthur will proceed to the next round of the competition.
