A documentary has shown the heartwarming moment a gay couple found out that they were about to become dads for the first time.
Paul and Craig Saunders appeared on BBC 2 show The Baby Has Landed, which followed their journey to fatherhood.
Their work friend Mel offered to act as a surrogate for the couple, and they happily took her up on the offer.
In a heartwarming clip from the show, Mel tells the couple that she is pregnant on a video call.

“Yes I’ve weed on the stick and I put it straight in the envelope,” she says.
Craig replies: “Oh my God so you haven’t even looked at it?”
“No, and it’s killing me, it’s been sat in the bathroom and oh my God,” Mel adds.
“Are you ready? Oh my God, I’m actually shaking,” she says, before opening the envelope.

She then opens up the envelope and reveals the positive pregnancy test, with both men shouting excitedly and laughing.
In the same episode, Craig opened up about his long-time desire to have a family – but said that he often thought it would never happen when he was younger.
Craig thought he would never have a family of his own.
“I kind of grew up knowing I liked boys, but then dealt with the fact that like, ‘Oh, well if I like boys it means I’ll never have a family.’ So maybe I should, like, force myself to like girls, so that I can have a family,” he revealed.
“I kind of got used to the idea that it was never going to happen,” he continued.
He also said that things that once seemed important to them, such as travelling the world, are no longer a priority. Now they are excited to focus on raising their twin daughters.
Elsewhere, the heartwarming episode delved into the loving relationship Paul and Craig have with their surrogate Mel. She even agreed to a baby shower for the couple – despite admitting that they’re not exactly her thing.
“It’s their party, it’s their baby shower, it’s their babies,” she said.
“I’m happy to go out of my comfort zone to make them happy.”
