Yet another new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race has just been announced and we’re so very, very tired
Casting has already been opened for RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13.
The show’s producers seem to be doing their best to keep us hooked on bodysuits and wig reveals all year round, with 2020 already set to see the release of Drag Race season 12, All Stars 5 and Drag Race UK season two, plus the launch of Celebrity Drag Race, Drag Race Canada and Drag Race Australia.
But looking beyond all of that, Drag Race is already casting for the upcoming season.
Drag Race season 13 casting is open.
World of Wonder officially opened casting for the series on Monday, saying in a release: “Do you have what it takes to be America’s next drag superstar? Then show us.
“RuPaul’s Drag Race is casting for season 13. This is your chance to share your realness with the world! Don’t f**k it up!”
Fans can apply on RDRCasting.com until January 24.
In a video, RuPaul said: “Hey, squirrel friends. Casting for RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13 is open, officially.
“If you’re a queen with some cattitude, we want to hear from you. Now let us have it!”
The air date for season 12 and 13 are yet to be confirmed, but based on the show’s traditional schedule we’d be expecting them around March 2020 and 2021 respectively.
Fans are having a RuPaul overload.
Fans, who are already tired of keeping up with all the Drag Race spin-offs, had plenty to say about the announcement on YouTube and Reddit.
One commenter wrote: “Seriously slow down and give us all a break already. We’re having a RU-Overload!”
Another fan speculated: “Bet you any money they’re fast tracking a bunch of seasons so Ru can take a year off or something without any break in the scheduling.”
One user joked: “Ru really wants to make sure she’s got enough money before she dies.”
Although there’s plenty of Drag Race in the pipeline, it’s unclear when it will next be on screens.
All Stars usually airs in January, but there have been few official teasers for the upcoming season.
