A trans woman was attacked and thrown 3 metres up high in the air by a gang of men
A trans woman was viciously assaulted by a throng of four men who then threw her at least three metres up high into a parking lot in Bordeaux, France.
After finding out she was trans, the men threw her over the parapet of a parking lot that stood three metres high, Le Parisien reported.
The 25-year-old victim has coming out of a nightclub at around 6am on December 8 when the men approached her.
What happened?
The victim had been on a night on the town for a pal’s birthday party.
Investigators said that after the men found out she was trans, they became aggressive. The men were drunk, witnesses also alleged.
Tossing transphobic slurs at her, the four men then grabbed her and threw her into the access road of a parking lot in the Jean Jaurés neighbourhood.
The four men then fled the scene, leaving the woman bruised and battered behind on the concrete.
She was transported by medics to the Hospital Saint-André, suffering from multiple bruises due to the impact, prosectors said.
Moreover, the woman filed a complaint to local law enforcement on Sunday, and Bordeaux police are actively combing the streets to find the assaulters and are treating the incident as a transphobic hate crime.
French LGBT+ activist group FLAG! praised emergency services for their responsiveness to the incident, and noted that the investigation is “ongoing”. Group organisers are working together with legal aid to care for the victim, they wrote in a tweet.

According to the latest figures from the ministère de l’intérieur, homophobic and transphobic attacks are up 34 per cent in France, casting a shadow on the country’s LGBT+ communities in a politically volatile time, torn by an unbroken stretch of protests.
One case that was catapulted into headlines saw a mob of protesters target a trans woman who was simply trying to weave through the crowds to exit a metro station in Paris.
“You’re a man, you’re not going anywhere, you’re not coming past,” the men shouted at her earlier this year. Pushing and punching her as she tried to get through the crowd.
In terrifying footage, the mob of men can be seen taunting her, tugging on her clothing and tousling her hair.
