Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne has become part of the first couple to tie the knot in London’s Heaven nightclub.
PinkNews had reported earlier this year that the famous gay nightclub had been granted permission to become a wedding venue ahead of its 40th anniversary.
The club has now put the license to use by hosting a wedding – for none other than the winner of Drag Race UK, The Vivienne.
The UK’s first drag superstar has demonstrated the ability to slay the runway in drag – but also managed to slay the Heaven dancefloor out of drag, while tying the knot to long-time partner David Ludford.
The club was totally transformed for the occasion, with trees, floral arrangements and tables for guests.

Taking to social media the drag star, real name James Lee Williams, was overcome with joy.
The Vivienne wrote: “This has been the most amazing day. I cannot thank [club owneer] @jeremy_joseph enough. You’ve made it amazing ❤️❤️❤️”
Of course, the wedding was attended by many of The Vivienne’s Drag Race UK castmates, with Blu Hydrangea, Cheryl Hole and Gothy Kendoll sharing snaps from the wedding.
Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Cher were also on hand to perform at the wedding – or at least their drag tribute acts, Beeyonce, Donna Marie and Drag Race‘s own Chad Michaels.
Sharing a selfie with Chad Michaels, The Vivienne wrote: “Just a dream come true. The happiest day of our lives made a million times better. ICON, mentor.
“Thank you to all the amazing entertainers yesterday! The gorgeous @beeyoncetributeact , the amazing @donnamariegaga and of course my Icon and friend @chadmichaelsallstar ❤️❤️❤️”
After thousands of hook-ups, Heaven’s dancefloor finally sees a wedding
Heaven owner Jeremy Joseph wrote: “I couldn’t be more happy or more proud of @thevivienne_ & @luddy1990 who got married today for Heaven’s first wedding.”
Meanwhile, the cake was provided by The Great British Bake Off star John Whaite, who wrote: “I was honoured to be asked to create the wedding cake for @thevivienne_ and her gorgeous hubby David.
“Their whimsical theme was right up my alley, but I couldn’t resist adding some modern spikes and skulls. Now the stressful part is over, so let’s dance the night away.”
