Boxing champion who wants to shoot gay people in the face wants you to know it’s not his fault he hit on a teenager

Boxer Adrien Broner and Danielle Bregoli

Former boxing world champion Adrien Broner, 30, who previously said he would shoot gay people “in the f**king face”, really wants you to know that it wasn’t his fault he hit on a 16-year-old high school student.

The 16-year-old in question is Danielle Bregoli, otherwise known as rapper Bhad Bhabie, who found fame for her catchphrase “cash me outside, how ’bout dah” when she appeared on talkshow Dr Phil in 2016.

Bregoli shared a screenshot last week with her 17 million Instagram followers of a DM from Broner that said: “Text me crazy girl.” The post prompted her fans to call out Broner for hitting on a minor, and according to Queerty some even tagged the FBI and the Atlanta Police Department.

Speaking to The Shade Room, Broner tried to defend himself by saying it was an “honest mistake”, but then went on to blame Instagram and Bregoli herself.

He said: “Nobody want to date a kid but I fault Instagram for not having people’s age on they profile. I thought she was grown the way she out here moving.”

Adrien Broner previously said he would shoot gay people “in the f**king face”.

In 2019, Broner posted in his Instagram story after a spat with internet personality Andrew Caldwell, famous for a 2014 viral video in which he claimed to be cured of homosexuality in church, shouting “I’m not gay no more!”

Broner said: “This a PSA. If any fag, punk ass n**** come up on me, trying to touch me, or all that gay s**t, I’m letting you know right now… if I ain’t got my gun on me, I’m knocking you the f**k out.

“If I got my gun on me, I’m shooting you in the f**king face, and that’s on God and them.

“I’m not playing with none of these n****s. I don’t like gay s**t.”

Last month, Broner was ordered to pay $830,000 for a sexual assault on a woman in a nightclub in Cleveland. In 2018, the boxer was arrested on a misdemeanour sexual battery charge, though he was released on bail.
