In the incomprehensible terror that is existing in the year 2020, this queer woman documenting her first date has lessened our desire to eject ourselves into the sun.

An adorable TikTok of Lauren videoing her Tinder date has gone viral on Twitter, tallying nearly five million views.

Proving that love is – plot twist – real, it sees her drive an hour to visit her new beau.

‘Well, that was successful!’

Grabbing Chipotle and going clothes shopping, it’s a level of wholesome that is a much-needed antidote to the headlines of global catastrophe and World War Three.

Flashing her phone at the mirror, the TikTok clip begins with Lauren showing off her look as she “tried to look cute” for her date.

“After an hour of driving”, she continued, she visits her date in a shopping mall food court.

They order wraps before browsing the ball gags in Spencer’s, showing Lauren’s date twirling one of the whips.

We are stanning.

“I learned she’s scared of escalators,” Lauren added, showing her date tackling her fears by riding them up.

But the pair walk to the car, where “she had a surprise” for Lauren.

We are stanning even harder.

Her date twirls around to reveal a bouquet of orange roses, matching her top.

“Well, that was successful!” Lauren captioned the final shot of the TikTok, showing her in the back of a car heading home.

Hallmark, eat your heart out, as thousands of Twitter users gushed at how adorable the date was.

Nola, ask and you shall receive.

Where are they now?

In the hotly anticipated sequel, Lauren uploaded a follow-up, explaining how she and her date go to colleges in “different states” so they can’t hang anytime soon.

Fetch us some superglue, because our hearts just tore. Why is existence suffering. Why.

But fear not, the pair “really like each-other and facetime almost every day.

“We’re both in the same area for the summer, so that’s when we’ll go on another date and I’ll put it on here for part two!”

In the meantime, back to your regularly scheduled programming of Brexit and Australian bushfires.
