Cher is the new face of fashion brand Dsquared2 and it’s quite literally iconic
Cher is fronting a new campaign for menswear brand DSquared2.
The brand has launched ads across the US for its Spring/Summer campaign, revealing a shot of Cher in denim jeans and a sweater emblazoned with the word ‘ICON’.
DSquared2 said on Instagram: “The ICONIC: @cher stars in the new #Dsquared2 Spring Summer 2020 Adv Campaign ? #D2ICON #D2SS20 ?➋➎”
The campaign is directed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
Little other details have been revealed so far – though, according to the Instagram post, hair styling was done by Serena Radaelli and Cloutier Remix, with make-up by Isamaya Ffrench.
Cher fans are thrilled with her new fashion campaign.
Cher has retweeted fans excited to spot the campaign’s first billboards in New York City, before cryptically tweeting: “Am I Going To Be In Time ?[Square]”
One Cher fan wrote: “OMG!!!!! A clothing line??!!!! Too awesome !!! Please say it’s true !! I am SO buying that icon top!!!”
Another added: “Uhm…To steal your word, Absolutely “STUNNING” ❗?❤???”
Dazed notes that Cher was previously the face of Marc Jacobs’ AW15 campaign.
The singer is also working on ABBA album sequel.
The singer recently teased the track list for her second ABBA covers album, following 2018’s well-received Dancing Queen.
The Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! star tweeted out the track list in August, confirming that “Take a Chance on Me,” “I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do” and “Super Trooper” will appear on the much-anticipated sequel.
It’s unclear when the album will be out.
Fans are also clamouring for Cher’s first original solo album since 2013’s Closer to the Truth, while she has also teased the release of a Christmas covers album at some point.
