Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan shares her one simple tip for clear skin: Don’t be transphobic

Well, the easiest way to clear your skin is simple: Don’t be transphobic.
Put that jade face roller down and support your trans and non-binary siblings. This is the top skincare tip from Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan, which has obviously gone viral.
The queen of gays, who plays “wee lesbian” Clare on the Channel 4 show, tweeted Tuesday: “I often get asked about my skincare routine.
“And my main tip to keep your skin clear would be not to attack marginalised communities like trans and non-binary people on Twitter,” she said, coupled with a radiant pic of the actor’s flawless complexion which says trans rights!

Countless Twitter users praised beauty guru Coughlan, showing instead of paying hundreds for pumpkin spice facials or LED light therapy for luminous skin, you can just be respectful of trans and non-binary folk.

Of course, a clear complexion shouldn’t be your top motivator for treating, you know, other humans with respect. Yeah.
Nicola Coughlan has consistently proved herself as an ally.
Whether it’s trading beauty tips or dressing the red carpet to exclusively please her gay fans, the actor is committed to the queer community.
Last week she wrote on Twitter: “Do you have any idea how stressful it is to dress for Red Carpet events when the main demographic you care about impressing is gay men?”
The tweet was liked more than 9,000 times, and LGBT+ people have been piling into the replies to advise Coughlan on how best to impress queer people.
In other words, on the fashion, beauty and activism front, Coughlan is the ally we truly need but do not deserve.
