Pete Davidson still thinks it’s OK to make jokes about gay people. Yes, really
Pete Davidson said he’s “like, all for the gayness, you know” while making a joke about gay dudes “that’ll like, run up on your girlfriend and, like, squeeze her boobs”.
The Saturday Night Live comic pops jokes at the LGBT+ community’s expense in his debut Netflix special, Pete Davidson: Alive From New York.
A trailer arriving ahead of the February 25 release focuses on Davidson discussing his numerous gay friendships
“I have, um, I have a lot of gay friends,” he says.
“I like my gay friends ’cause I don’t think there’s like a more honest relationship between, like, a gay dude and a straight dude, ’cause there’s just like nothing to gain, you know, so it’s just pure honesty.
“But there’s always one gay friend that I don’t think is f**king gay at all.”
According to Davidson, known to most people as Ariana Grande’s ex-fiancé, every guy knows a “guy dude that’ll like, run up on your girlfriend and like squeeze her boobs, and like slap her ass and be like: ‘Damn girl, you look great'”.
“I don’t find that f**king funny like at all, I’m sorry,” he continues.
“Like, I’m all for the gayness, you know. It doesn’t mean I’m against gayness. It’s just like you get to slap ass on a technicality? That’s not f**king fair at all.”
Flipping the tables, Davidson says that he wouldn’t walk up to a gay friend’s boyfriend “and like tug his dick and be like, “Nice Gary! Not for me, but cool,” just because he could.

Twitter users were surprised to find that the 26-year-old’s attitude towards gay people appears to have been transplanted straight from the 80s.
I thought these jokes were really funny when I first heard Eddie Murphy do them in 1983. I was 11.

Pete Davidson is no stranger to making jokes about gayness.
In November, he told Paper that he “used to jerk off to Leonardo DiCaprio, uh, like, his acting”.
More recently, in a February episode of Saturday Night Live, Davidson got a lesson in tucking his “magnificent penis” from none other than RuPaul.
