Star Trek star Anthony Rapp just got engaged to his boyfriend… again

Anthony Rapp with his fiancé engagement

Fans of Star Trek actor Anthony Rapp will remember that he got engaged last November, but the star has since gotten engaged for the second time.

No, he and his fiancé didn’t split – they just decided to get engaged again.

Rapp revealed last November that he had proposed to his boyfriend Ken Ithiphol in Ontario, Canada, and said in an Instagram post that he was “thrilled” and “so happy” when he said “yes”.

But Ithiphol apparently wanted his chance to pop the question too. So, this week, he got down on one knee and proposed to his fiancé just to make sure that all was equal between the pair.

Anthony Rapp revealed on Twitter that he and his fiancé had gotten engaged for a second time.

The actor and singer revealed details of their second engagement in a heartfelt Twitter post this week.

“So this happened,” he said, sharing a photo of Ithiphol proposing to him.

“Yes, we are already engaged, but I had proposed to Ken. This time, in the most incredible setting imaginable — Boynton Canyon in Sedona — he proposed to me.

He added: “I was blown away and of course I said yes. I feel so lucky.”

Last month, the actor decided to melt the hearts of queer people everywhere when he shared an adorable photo from the couple’s first engagement in November.

Yes, we are already engaged, but I had proposed to Ken. This time, in the most incredible setting imaginable — Boynton Canyon in Sedona — he proposed to me.

“As you know, I’m marrying this wonderful, beautiful man,” Rapp wrote alongside the image.

“Wanted to share this photo from our engagement shoot. I’m feeling pretty damn lucky.”

The Star Trek actor was the first major figure to accuse Kevin Spacey of sexual harassment in 2017.

Rapp became engaged to Ithiphol after a tumultuous time in his life. In 2017, he became the first major figure to publicly accuse actor Kevin Spacey of sexual harassment.

He alleged that Spacey had made unwanted sexual advances on him in 1989 when Rapp was just 14-years-old and Spacey 26.

The allegations forced Spacey to come out as gay and was subsequently accused of various instances of sexual harassment and assault by a number of men.

Moreover, Spacey’s denial of the claim and call to come out prompted immense backlash from the LGBT+ community for its incredibly poor timing.
