Drag Race season 12 queen Brita gave a strenuous denial after being accused of sexual assault.
Brita, real name Jesse Havea, shared a statement on Facebook after an allegation made against her in 2018 reemerged on social media.
In the resurfaced post, Havea was accused of assaulting an anonymous man while he slept.
The accuser claimed he was Brita’s “drag daughter”, but said the two shared a frosty relationship after the alleged encounter.
After the story went viral, Havea wrote on Facebook: “I need to re-address the false allegations raised against me in 2018.
I reiterate that the claims made against me are untrue.
“As someone who cares very deeply about the importance of consent (from first-hand experience), I always actively attempt to bring that to the forefront of any sexual encounter I have.
“I plan to continue to do what I’ve always done with my drag: try to create safe spaces where people feel comfortable to express themselves.”

Asides from Brita, Sherry Pie has also plunged Drag Race season 12 into controversy.
Havea spoke out as another Drag Race season 12 queen, Sherry Pie, was embroiled in her own controversy.
Sherry, real name Joey Gugliemelli, made a grovelling apology after five actors accused him of posing as a casting agent and coaxing them into sending him sexualised videos of themselves.
One of the men, 23-year-old Josh Lillyman, said Gugliemelli told him he was working as an “auxiliary casting agent” for a woman in New York called Allison Mossie.
Lillyman said that after exchanging emails with Mossie regarding a part in a purported HBO series, Gugliemelli offered to help him film an audition tape.
During the filming, Gugliemelli reportedly encouraged Lillyman to strip to his underwear and masturbate on camera.
Gugliemelli said he was sorry to have “caused such trauma and pain” and said he was “horribly embarrassed and disgusted” with himself.
