Lady Gaga is releasing a book and naturally it will shine a spotlight on LGBT+ youth
Lady Gaga’s new album isn’t even out yet, and she’s already announced a huge new book project.
The star unveiled book Channel Kindness: Stories of Kindness and Community – which will tell real-life stories celebrating “the quiet power of kindness.”
The book, co-authored by Gaga and her Born This Way Foundation, will give a platform for everyday young people to explain “how they felt, created safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth, and embraced kindness with every fiber of their being by helping others without the expectation of anything in return.”
It will also include “personal notes of empowerment” from Gaga herself.
Lady Gaga’s book will share stories about LGBT+ youth
Lady Gaga’s mother Cynthia Germanotta, president of the Born This Way Foundation, explained: “Within these pages, you’ll meet young change-makers who found their inner strength, prevailed in the face of bullies, started their own social movements, and decided to break through the mental health stigma.
“These storytellers share how they felt, created safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth, and embraced kindness with every fibre of their being by helping others without the expectation of anything in return.”
A blurb adds: “In one story, you’ll read about a young person with an autoimmune disease, who after being bullied at school, learned how to practice self-love and started an organisation with the mission of educating others about the importance of self-love, too; and in another story, you’ll meet a young person who decided to start a movement to help eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraged others to talk about their feelings openly and honestly, a reminder that kindness and mental wellness go hand in hand.”
Fans are hyped for new album Chromatica
Fans are currently awaiting Gaga’s upcoming album, Chromatica, which is set for release on April 10.
She tweeted: “Welcome to ‘Chromatica’, coming April 10. Pre-order now ⚔️?”.
The first track from the album, “Stupid Love”, was released last month to overwhelming acclaim.
Elsewhere this week, Mother Monster had an insect named in her honour.
The new unique species of treehopper, officially named Kaikaia gaga, was discovered on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua, and it’s a true wonder of nature.
