Teenage girl left semi-unconscious and bleeding on the ground after horrific transphobic attack

A 17-year-old girl was was left semi-unconscious and bleeding on the ground after a horrific transphobic attack last week in Spain.
According to Cordopolis, Brianna was attacked in Córdoba, a city in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia, early on Friday morning, March 6.
She said her attackers first approached her screaming “faggot”, “you don’t have a c**t” and “you p*ss through your d**k”.
When she asked them to leave her alone, they kicked and punched her, but she managed to call the police. By the time the authorities arrived, however, her aggressors had fled.
Brianna decided to drop the complaint, but shortly after the police left, her attackers returned.
She said: “I did not see them coming, they attacked me in the back and kicked me in the head.”
The teenager was left semi-unconscious on the ground and bleeding from her mouth and nose.
She managed to make her way home and was taken to a hospital by her aunt, where she was diagnosed with a cervical contracture and facial injuries.
Brianna said that verbal transphobic abuse has become part of her day-to-day life and she suffered another physical attack in December, but this time she thought she was going to die.
She said: “I could not defend myself, I could not scream, they filled my entire body with kicks and punches.”
She sought the assistance of Todes Transformando, a trans rights organisation in Córdoba. They supported her to report the incident to the police.
Todes Transformando president Carmen Ceballos told Córdobahoy that the attack was a transphobic hate crime, but added that “many complaints that are made are not processed”.
She added: “Transgender women face much more harassment than any other women”.
Brianna reportedly wrote on social media: “I’m too young to go out in terror, to walk the streets in fear of being killed for being who I am.
“But despite the fear I also have anger, courage, hunger and thirst for justice and I don’t want this to happen to any more women.”
