Sam Smith is every single one of us as they go through coronavirus ‘quarantine meltdown’

Sam Smith continues to be the relatable hero we need but truly don’t deserve.
The singer took to Instagram to share their frustrations at being forced to self-isolate during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Stages of a quarantine meltdown,” they wrote, with three pictures of themself in various states of despair.
Their post followed a video blog earlier this week in which they urged fans to support each other during the current crisis.
“This is a weird, weird, weird time,” they said. “Very, very strange.”
Confirming that they are remaining at home for the foreseeable future, they sent their love to all of their fans.
“Hope you’re mentally alright. This is going to be challenging for anybody who gets [in their head] like me.
Smith urged followers to “remain a unit” and to look out for others, especially older people more vulnerable to coronavirus.
“I’m worried about my nan, there’s so many people I’m worried about.
“We’ve really got to look out for each other and be patient, be giving and share things. Share food people.”
They admitted that they are feeling a little under the weather because of their allergies, but said they would return to Instagram in the coming days to share some music.
“I’m pretty s**t at everything else, the only thing I can do is sing.
“Hopefully we can all have little sing-song together, I think we all need it.”
Earlier this week it emerged that Smith’s third eagerly-awaited third album To Die For had been pushed back by a month, from May 1 to June 5.
An official reason wasn’t given for the delay, but it seems likely that coronavirus is to blame.
The pandemic has had a major effect on the entertainment industry, delaying films such as Marvel’s Black Widow and the new James Bond film No Time To Die as cinema chains shutter due to social distancing measures.
