Instead of singing a pointless song, Britney Spears is actually supporting people impacted by coronavirus

Celebrities are a strange bunch, but Britney Spears is a light in this dark world.

Amid a swelling pandemic where those on low-incomes struggle to access crucial coronavirus tests, hospitals on threadbare budgets strive to find the funds for vital equipment, rank and file A-listers all got together to… sing “Imagine”.

Indeed, while music and melodies erupt from balconies, apartment rooftops and windows in countries on lockdown, celebs attempted to boost stampeded spirits by singing a John Lennon song from their mansions.

In stark contrast, however, Spears took to Instagram Friday to pledge to do what she can to support three fans whose lives have been impacted by COVID-19.

Britney Spears promises to ‘do what [she] can’ to help three struggling fans affected by coronavirus.

Sister Jamie Spears nominated her to take part in a “Do Your Part Challenge”.

In a speckled tee, Spears spoke to the camera and said: “So, our world is going through such hard times right now and my sister just nominated me to help people.

“Whether it’s food or I’m getting your child diapers, whatever it is, DM me and I will help you out.”

Spears then nominated Will Smith, boyfriend Sam Asghari and Cate Hudson.

Asghari commented: “Amazing, let’s get things started.”

Her post comes after the “Toxic” singer hoped to mellow out housebound fans by committing to share a yoga post on social media “to inspire others for us to stay healthy and safe and to be better people.”

“We are all dealing with the coronavirus all around the world, to get through this together we need to remain positive and lift each other up.”
