Lady Gaga has dropped “Sour Candy” – her duet with BLACKPINK – ahead of schedule, as a snippet of track became the latest Chromatica leak.

“Sour Candy” was made available to stream Thursday afternoon (May 27) – 24 hours before it was due to be released.

The BLACKPINK duet is another ’90s house inspired track, following on from the recent single “Rain on Me” with Ariana Grande.

Producer Bloodpop, had earlier shared the first few seconds of the song on Instagram, sending fans into a frenzy.

On Chromatica Eve, Lady Gaga revealed how the historic collaboration came about and aalled herself the “fifth member” of the K-Pop girl group.

“I called BLACKPINK first to suggest working together,” she told Japanese outlet tvgroove.

“The BLACKPINK members were happy and showed enthusiasm for the project, so we were able to collaborate thanks to that. I wanted to support powerful women such as BLACKPINK, and they felt the same.”

Lady Gaga teased that “Sour Candy” will feature Korean lyrics.

“I got excited while hearing them interpret the song in Korean,” she said.

“I told them that their part is very creative and fun.

“BLACKPINK are beautiful young women, and they’re very talented. Through this collaboration, I felt proud as if I’d become BLACKPINK’s fifth member.”

Chromatica leaks?

With less than 24 hours to go until Chromatica is finally released, social media users have reported that “Sour Candy” has leaked online.

The full track is allegedly floating on file sharing sites – however PinkNews has been unable to verify these claims.

A full Chromatica leak has also been reported, however at least one fan has fallen victim to a fake.

Chromatica has been blighted by delays and missteps, with Lady Gaga’s comeback single “Stupid Love” being shared widely online ahead of schedule.

Snippets of other tracks including “Babylon” and “Free Woman” have also reportedly been heard by fans. Nonetheless, anticipation for the album remains at terrifying levels.

Like a kindness punk Mother Christmas, Gaga said on Wednesday (May 27) that she is “delivering Chromatica myself to every retailer around the world… in Chromatica time and distance do not exist”.
