Lesbian drag queen serves up a truly legendary Disney medley with a queer Pride Month twist
Miss Disney delivered a powerful queer parody of classic Disney song from Beauty and the Beast and Mulan
Lesbian drag queen Miss Disney is giving us life this Pride Month, serving a truly legendary Disney medley – with a queer twist, of course.
The vocalist, who describes herself as a “Disney Drag Princess”, shared her queer Disney medley to help celebrate PinkNews’ Pride for All, a four-day digital Pride festival that takes the spirit of celebration and protest online.
In the video, Miss Disney appears as Belle from Beauty and the Beast and launches into her extra-special rendition of “Belle”.
The song starts off just as it does in the Disney classic, but takes a deliciously queer turn when she announces that she has just finished reading a wonderful story about “some lesbians and gays”.
Instead of reading the love story Belle reads in Beauty and the Beast, Miss Disney takes things to queer new heights by opening up a book about Girls Aloud instead.
“Here’s where she meets princess charming, but she won’t discover that it’s her till chapter three,” Miss Disney sings.

She then transitions to “Reflection” from Mulan, a song that is a queer anthem all on its own.
“I just feel like I can’t be myself, and I look at myself in the mirror and I don’t even recognise who I am,” Miss Disney says, before launching into her version of the classic song.
“Look at me, I will never pass for perfect straight or perfect daughter, can it be I’m not meant to play this part,” she sings.
The camera then cuts away to Miss Disney chalking up Belle’s devotion to other fictional princesses on a blackboard, including Elsa and Jasmine.
When the song reaches its climax, she tears her wig off, revealing pink hair.
“When will my reflection show who I am inside?” she sings.
Miss Disney then takes on the reprise of “Belle” from Beauty and the Beast. She happily explains to Gaston that she won’t marry him because she’s gay.
She then jubilantly sings that she’s “queer as f**k” and wants to live her life.
The video closes out with Miss Disney’s version of “Let It Go” from Frozen – a bonafide gay classic all by itself – but with these lyrics, it’s even better.
“I am gay, I am gay, I like girls and that’s okay,” she sings.
The song ends: “Here I’ll stand in the light of day, I am queer as f**k! Straights never bothered me anyway.”
Miss Disney’s video ends with an important message to LGBT+ people everywhere this Pride Month: “Always remain true to who you are.”
