Dozens of Drag Race legends unite to deliver a powerful message of support for Black Lives Matter

Drag Race royalty from both sides of the Atlantic have come together to deliver a strongly worded message: It’s time to end racism and police brutality.
Dozens of Drag Race legends have come together to campaign for racial equality and to say Black Lives – including Black Trans Lives – matter.
Heidi N Closet, Honey Mahogany, Kenya Michaels, Jinkx Monsoon, Raven, Jujubee, Gia Gunn, Gigi Goode, Bendelacreme, The Vixen and many other queens were joined by Drag Race UK’s Cheryl Hole, Divina de Campo, Blu Hydrangea and Crystal for the five-minute video.
“It’s time to stop being complicit,” they say.
“It’s time to stand up, it’s time to speak out, it’s time to do the work.
“We can’t continue to ignore the beliefs, the behaviours, the systems and policies that continue to allow Black people to be murdered in this country,” says Honey.
“No one is born hating someone, no one is born discriminating against someone, no one is born racist. It is taught and it is a product of your environment,” says Heidi.
The white queens who appear in the video say they are here to “speak up with the Black community”.
“It’s time to listen to the voices that need to be amplified louder and before my own, so that as an ally I understand how best I can help,” says Scarlett Envy.
“It’s time to stand up for what’s right, it’s time for justice, and above all else it is past time to say Black Lives Matter,” says Alexis Michelle.
“It’s time to say Black Trans Lives Matter,” adds Jackie Cox.
Jinkx Monsoon, Divina de Campo and Chad Michaels call on viewers to use their vote to enact change.
“It’s time to hold authority accountable,” adds Mariah Paris Balenciaga.
