Tan France has officially become a US citizen, and has promised he will immediately register to vote in an effort to get rid of Donald Trump.
The Queer Eye fashion expert has been a vocal critic of Trump’s during his time in the White House, and he is now determined to do his part to oust the president.
France shared his news on Instagram with a series of photos of his citizenship ceremony.
“A few minutes ago, I officially became [a] US citizen!!” he wrote.
“For me, this is monumental. It’s something I’ve been working towards for literally 20 years, which makes this all the more emotional.”
Tan France is french tucking his way to the polls.
France continued: “And now, I will exercise my constitutional right as an American. Today, I will register to vote, and vote for the change I wish to see in OUR nation.”
The news was welcomed by his Queer Eye castmates. Bobby Berk commented: “SO PROUD OF YOU TANNY!!! I love YOU.”

The news comes just months after France said he would never move back to the UK due to the country’s systemic and pervasive racism.
France, who is originally from Doncaster but has lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, for seven years, said in an interview with Grazia that he finds living in America easier after relentless racist abuse in the UK.

He said: “In interviews before, when people would say, ‘Would you ever move back to the UK?’ I’d say, ‘Yeah, maybe’.”
But now, he said, “It’s a solid no. I suffered so much racism here and it’s just not something I want to put myself through.
“I love this country, I love what it potentially represents, but I just think that until they solve this problem or move forward with it, where you just are not attacked every day, I’m not willing to be here.”
He added: “I’ve never been called anything racist in the US. It’s not once happened.”
Donald Trump will ace off against Democrat Joe Biden for the presidency in November.
Biden secured his party’s support following a lengthy and often fractious Democratic contest, which saw major party figures including Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders fight for the nomination.
