The only thing better than the historic Supreme Court ruling in favour of LGBT+ rights is just how badly Rush Limbaugh is taking it

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh is positively apoplectic at news that you can’t fire people for being gay anymore.
In a landmark six-to-three ruling on Monday (June 15), the court affirmed that LGBT+ people are entitled to protection from employment discrimination based on their sexual orientation and gender identity under Title VII, an existing sex-based civil rights law.
Naturally, the decision, which effectively extends LGBT+ rights protections to all 50 states, has not gone down well right-wingers who have spent much of the past four years plotting to stack the court with conservatives.
Rush Limbaugh was particularly furious during his radio show on Tuesday, lashing out at Trump-appointed justice Neil Gorsuch, who penned the court’s opinion.
Limbaugh branded Gorsuch a “sellout” for siding with the court’s liberal justices in the case.
Rush Limbaugh is fuming that you can’t fire people for being gay or transgender anymore.
On his radio show, he fumed: “People who supported Gorsuch, they’re beside themselves what happened yesterday on the Supreme Court.
“It may be the biggest sellout of conservatism by conservative justices in the history of the Supreme Court on four different issues. One of them was taking the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and throwing LGBT+ into it.”
Getting confused about the distinction between the attribute of sex and sexual intercourse, Limbaugh continued: “You ask yourself, what was sex in 1964-65, was it simply an act between a man and a woman? Was there gay sex involved?
“One thing everybody agrees on, back in 1964-65, the people that wrote the Civil Rights Act had no intention of including transgenders in it… and yet the justices in the United States Supreme Court decided to include LGBT+ people so now they can’t be fired.
“It’s gonna be a mess. It’s an absolute mess.”

Radio host suggests Neil Gorsuch was blackmailed into ruling in favour of LGBT+ rights.
Limbaugh, a man who has never met a conspiracy theory he didn’t like, immediately decided to use his nationally-syndicated radio show to toss out another half-baked House of Cards script idea.
He said: “My theory as to why this happened… this doesn’t sound like Neil Gorsuch at all, from any point during his hearings to anything he’s written… but I started thinking about the Kavanaugh hearings, and I started thinking, what must that have done to sitting justices, how might that have scared the hell out of them?
“What if all of that was simply designed to tell conservative justices, ‘you want this? You want to get the same kind of treatment? You can have it if you don’t vote the way we want you to vote.’
“Is it possible that there was some intimidation, that succeeded? I throw it out there as a possibility I don’t really know if there’s anything to it but it would make sense to me, knowing what we know about how the left operates.
“I just wonder if it could have been a factor.”
