Bisexual radio host Iain Lee has been inundated with unsolicited nudes from men since coming out
Bisexual radio host Iain Lee revealed he’s received countless unsolicited nudes from men since he came out last year.
The former talkRADIO host told Metro that coming out as bisexual earned him some unwanted attention from young men on social media.
“I had like the tiniest glimpse of what it might be like to be a woman online,” he said.
“What I mean by that is, I started getting people sliding into my DMs.”
Bisexual radio host Iain Lee received ‘topless muscle shots’ and ‘c**k pics’ after coming out.
“On Instagram I started getting young men sending me topless muscle shots. I got a couple of c**k pics and I got a few ‘I’d love to meet you for a drink’, but they weren’t even my type.
“My type is kind of – these were all younger men.”
Lee added: “It was weird. I hope that doesn’t sound in any way patronising to what women have had. It was a tiny glimpse.”
The radio host said the unsolicited nudes were not “flattering” and said they made him feel “uncomfortable”.
I got a couple of c**k pics and I got a few ‘I’d love to meet you for a drink’, but they weren’t even my type.
“I didn’t like it,” he said.
Lee also said that he is not currently in a relationship with a man.
“That’s not where my head is at at the moment. Who knows, but at the moment that’s not where I see things going.”
He came out last year following the breakdown of his marriage.
Lee, who developed a huge fan following in 2017 when he finished in third place on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, came out as bisexual on his former talkRADIO show in July of last year.
Speaking at the time, he revealed that he had started seeing a therapist after a difficult few months during which his marriage came to an end.
He was also in a serious car accident, which prompted him to seek help for his depression.
Through therapy, Lee came to the realisation that he is bisexual.
“So I guess I’m coming out. This is me coming out, I suppose is how they would call it, at the age of 46, and I’m terrified by it,” he said.
Tragically, Lee also revealed that he was sexually abused as a teenage boy by older men and said he had been working through those experiences with his therapist.
“This went on for quite a while, and I’ve always had a lot of confusion around it, because I started putting myself in these positions so that these things would happen again.”
His therapist helped him come to see those experiences as abusive.
