Christian homophobes are boycotting wrapping paper and greeting cards because of ‘the LGBT+ agenda’

Hallmark

One Million Moms has launched a boycott against “all things Hallmark” after the network dared to acknowledge the existence of LGBT+ people in its holiday movies.

On July 15 the Hallmark Channel announced 18 new movies for the festive season, and while none of them had LGBT+ main characters, the channel promised that more queer storylines, characters and actors would be on the way.

It came after the network was heavily criticised for its lack of LGBT+ representation. Acknowledging this, Crown Media spokesperson George Zaralidis told PinkNews that diversity and inclusion is now a “top priority” for Hallmark.

One Million Moms responded by declaring an oh-so-predictable boycott of literally everything produced by Hallmark, including the TV channel, wrapping paper, greetings cards and Christmas ornaments.

One Million Moms boycotts Hallmark for ‘pushing gay agenda’.

The evangelical Christian lobbying group, whose Twitter account boasts a grand total of 4,772 followers, lamented the fact that the network is now “pushing the gay agenda” to god-fearing families.

“The once-conservative network has recently caved to LGBTQ pressure and has done a one-eighty from the wholesome content the channel once aired, and the network is now catering to the left,” the group claimed.

“So many people feel betrayed by Hallmark over these past seven months,” they continued, referring to the channel’s decision to air an advert featuring a same-sex married couple — before pulling it off air due to One Million Moms’ complaints.

“The Hallmark Channel was one of the remaining channels that families could watch without being bombarded by politically correct commercials and the LGBTQ agenda.

“Family entertainment is not the outlet in which to be politically correct by forcing tolerance and acceptance of homosexuality – a sinful lifestyle that scripture clearly deems wrong in Romans 1:18-28.”

One Million Moms is renowned for its ridiculous (and ineffective) boycotts against anything even vaguely supportive of the LGBT+ community, and has previously attacked H&MCampbell’s soupDisneyScholastic books, Whole Foods, JC PenneyToy Story 4, Hamilton, and the children’s cartoon show Arthur and Friends.

They insist that, far from being a hate group, their “biblical truth is anything but hateful”.
