Christian TikTok star Cash Baker has lost “thousands” of followers after insisting that all LGBT+ people are sinners, but he really wants you to know that he doesn’t hate the queer community.

Cash Baker, a TikTok influencer with 16.4 million followers and 808.6 million likes, has spent the last couple of weeks denouncing “false religions” and the LGBT+ community in a series of TikToks, many of which have now been deleted.

On 5 August, he said: “Me, being a Christian, can I support the LGBT+ community? No, I cannot.

“So am I behind the LGBT+ community? Do I promote it? Do I encourage it? Absolutely not.

“But guys, you gotta understand. Everybody gets that so confused with us saying that we hate LGBT+ people and all that. But guys, no, that is completely, completely wrong.”

He continued: “Guys, in the Bible it says that one sin is as equal as all sin, and it says man should be with woman and woman should be with man.

“So therefore, guys, yes, it is a sin in the Bible. But guys, everyone sins. I sin all the time. That does not mean I love you any less or look at you any different… So no guys, I don’t support it, but I love them with all of my heart.”

Baker, 17, is best known for being one half of the TikTok music duo Cash and Maverick, alongside his 19-year-old brother.

In another video, the TikTok star addressed those who follow other religions like Islam, Hinduism, and Judaism, and insisted that he cannot support them “because the Bible says that”.

He said: “Making up false gods and prophets is a sin in the Bible.”

“If you get mad at this video and you’re telling me that I’m not respecting other religions,” he continued, “then you’re not respecting my religion, because in my religion, it tells me to tell you that.”

As the criticism began to roll in, with his followers accusing him of homophobia, Islamophobia and anti-Semitism, Baker posted more TikToks in which said he had lost “thousands and thousands” of followers.

In one post, he said: “So a lot of my friends and supporters and everyone have been like, ‘Stop preaching the gospel. You’re going to get canceled.’

“I mean, that might be true. Like, I’ve already lost thousands and thousands of followers. Brand deals probably won’t want to work with me as much because I’m preaching the gospel and I’m too problematic.

He added: “Guys, I’m just trying to preach the truth and what the Bible says, guys, I only do all this because I love you guys.”

However, the teen TikToker then went on to tell his followers yet again that LGBT+ people and non-Christians were going to “burn in hell for the rest of eternity”.

“Tell me this,” he said, “if you believed in a hell, and you believed that some of your family and some of your friends, even people you don’t know, might go to hell and burn in hell for the rest of eternity—would you tell them about it, or would you just stay quiet and not say anything?

“You would most likely tell them about it, right? And that’s what I’m doing.”
