Lady Gaga pleads with Donald Trump to finally concede the election for the good of the nation
Lady Gaga has added her voice to the growing chorus of people calling for Donald Trump to concede the election and commit to a peaceful transition of power.
Despite all major news networks declaring Joe Biden’s victory yesterday, the incumbent president is stubbornly refusing to admit defeat, instead continuing to tweet baseless claims about “thieves” stealing the election from him.
As he seems determined to ignore the advice of his aides, his son-in-law and even Fox News, Lady Gaga chimed in to give him a much-needed reality check.
“@realDonaldTrump please concede,” the star wrote on Twitter, tagging him directly.
“I know you can see how America has suffered during this election and fought over the presidency for 4 years. Please do your part in a peaceful transition of power so our transition can be peaceful too.”

While Lady Gaga might seem an unlikely person to be advising America’s homophobe-in-chief, she already knows she can get under his skin.
She clearly rattled the president after she rallied her fanbase to get out and vote in a viral video before appearing at a drive-in rally for Biden to help build last-minute support for the Democratic nominee.
It seems it was the final straw for Trump, who railed against the pop star in a bizarre rant at a toe-curlingly awkward rally in Pennsylvania, making her the last celebrity nemesis of his campaign.
And because Team Trump clearly had nothing better to do at this point, they went on to spend the final hours before election day releasing an unintentionally hilarious statement that described Lady Gaga as an “anti-fracking activist”.
“Nothing exposes Joe Biden’s disdain for the forgotten working men and women of Pennsylvania like campaigning with anti-fracking activist Lady Gaga,” they claimed.
Lady Gaga replied with a jab of her own, tweeting back: “So happy, I’m glad to be living rent free in your head!”
