Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard launches revolting ‘transphobic’ attack on reality TV contestant
Tiffany “New York” Pollard has been accused of transphobia after she launched a shockingly anti-trans rant against a contestant on reality show One Mo’ Chance.
Pollard became an icon in the LGBT+ community for her appearance on VH1’s Flavor of Love in 2006, where she clashed with almost everyone in her quest to become Flavour Flav’s girlfriend.
But support from the community has swiftly dried up after she delivered a shocking anti-trans rant on reality television show One Mo’ Chance.
The show, which follows rapper Kamal “Chance” Givens as he looks for love, stars Pollard in an episode that aired on streaming service Zeus on 13 December, where she launched an attack on contestant Tiffany Walker over her gender identity.
Pollard was tasked with interviewing the remaining contestants on the show to figure out who would be the best fit to date Givens.
In a clip widely shared on social media, Pollard tells the contestant, who is cisgender, that she has not been “forthcoming”.

“You didn’t shed any light on the questions that I had and I feel like you have a situation, and I do believe that you are a man,” Pollard says in the clip.
Walker replied: “Um… I know I’m not.”
But that didn’t satisfy Pollard, who asked: “Does it bother you when I tell you that I feel like you’re a man, that you have genitalia, like penis, and balls, and sweaty d**k? What does that do to you, does that f**k with you, at all?”
“No,” the contestant replied.
“That’s what scares me. And that’s why you’re going home,” Pollard told her, eliminating her from the contest.
Pollard has been lambasted on social media for the comments, with many LGBT+ people criticising her for making anti-trans remarks when the LGBT+ community has supported her so ardently.

That transphobic Tiffany Pollard clip is worse than I even imagined. And she has no problem taking LGBTQ money for events. I’d argue that we made her who she is.

Disgusting. My best friend is trans and this kind of behavior is unacceptable and dangerous. @TiffanyPollard own up this and apologize. https://t.co/qsaGX0aovt— KANDY MUSE (@TheKandyMuse) December 30, 2020

Speaking to Metro about the incident, Walker said other contestants on the show kept insisting that she was transgender while filming.
“All I can say is that I was born a female and keep it moving. You know? I didn’t find it necessary to fight with the bullies within the house. I chose to stay gracious.”
She added: “The only thing I can say is no, I’m not trans but I have love for the LGBTQ community and grateful for their kindness and support.”
Pollard also faced backlash on Instagram and replied to critics, saying: “ARE WE HAVING FUN YET?!” along with a string of emojis, adding: “I’m already pregaming for New Year’s.”
PinkNews has contacted Pollard’s representative for comment.
