Alan Carr tour postponed – but comic adds extra dates to new show

Alan Carr has been forced to postpone his headline UK tour Not Again, Alan! but he’s also added extra dates due to popular demand.
A number of sold out shows that were due to take place between January and March, 2021 have now been pushed back to later this year and early 2022 because of the ongoing global pandemic.
The tour is now currently due to kick off on 29 April, 2021 at Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre before heading to venues across the country until at least October 2022.
Although it means fans will have to wait longer to see the “Chatty Man”, those who missed out on tickets will be pleased to know that extra dates have now been added, with tickets going on sale this week.
Carr has confirmed new shows in Shrewsbury, Leeds, Liverpool, Guildford, Ipswich, Southend, Stockport, Belfast, Carlisle, Woking, Nottingham and Brighton which are set to take place in late 2021 and early 2022.
He will then finish up the run with two headline dates at London’s Eventim Apollo on 7-8 October, 2022. Tickets for the newly announced shows go on sale on Thursday, 14 January via Ticketmaster and ATG Tickets.

Carr will also return to the judging panel for season two of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK alongside Graham Norton, Michelle Visage and RuPaul herself Thursday (14 January), with guest judges including Liz Hurley, Sheridan Smith, MNEK, Lorraine Kelly and Dawn French.
In a recent Q&A he revealed how the first wave of coronavirus, which forced the show to shut down mid-way through filming led to some major changes in the contestants upon their return.
“You hope that in that break, they got to a sewing machine, they got the old needle out and everything. And I think when you come back, no spoilers, but there were some who’ve gone, right… they improved, they go better,” Alan said.
He also said there was one other difference viewers might pick up on.
“Between episode four and five, I put on a lot of weight,” he laughed. “The only way I can describe it is, remember in the ’90s when there was thin Oprah and fat Oprah? Thin Oprah was on BBC 2 and fat Oprah was on Channel 4? I mean, you’re gonna go, ‘what has Alan eaten that week?’ Please remember there was a pandemic.”
