Therese Dukes, a Trump supporter outed by her daughter after being involved in a violent altercation at the US Capitol, has been ousted from her job as a medical assistant.

Bloodied MAGA mother Therese, 50, was captured on tape on 5 January at a violent protest in the Black Lives Matter Plaza that erupted in Washington DC only a day before a deluge of insurrectionists tore through the Capitol complex in a pro-Trump rebellion.

Footage showed Therese attempting to snatch the mobile phone of security guard Ashanti Smith. The 28-year-old then jabbed Therese in the face – but unbeknownst to Therese, her daughter Helena was watching.

“Hi, this is the liberal lesbian of the family who has been kicked out multiple times for her views and for going to BLM protest.” Helena tweeted along with screen captures of Therese and her loved ones’ names.

As a result of her involvement in the heated melee, UMass Hospital in Worchester, Massachusetts, announced that Therese had been fired.

“Over the past 24 hours, we have received numerous expressions of concern through social media regarding a UMass Memorial caregiver who many have been involved in this week’s violent event at the nation’s Capitol,” a Twitter statement from the hospital read.

“The employee in question is no longer a part of our organisation.”

‘Liberal lesbian’ feels ‘disappointed to be related’ to MAGA mother Therese Dukes.

Helena told CBC Radio’s As It Happens that she identified her mother, uncle and aunt in the crowds of seething and incensed Trump-supporters because it was “the right thing to do”.

The 18-year-old said that security guard Ashanti Smith, who is Black, “reacted accordingly” as violent white supremacists hurled racist slurs at her and jostled her. “I think the woman thought she was in danger,” she said.

Smith told WHUR-FM that she “feared for [her] life” as Trump supporters shouted: “Hang her, we’ll kill her, she deserves to die.”

“‘[Therese] kept trying to take my phone and take my mask off because I kept asking them to stay away from me, stop following me, and stop being so close in my personal area,” she added.

Helena said it “unsettled her” how abruptly her mother flipped from life-long Democratic to far-right Republican, even lying that she was attending a three-day-long medical procedure to attend.

“It was unsettling seeing how quickly she had changed to a radically right ideology. The things that she was saying really didn’t make sense.

“A lot of them were conspiracy theories, almost a delusional kind of mindset. And I think it was just her belief system entirely was focused around what President Trump was saying.”

She added to Newsweek that she feels “disappointed to be related to her.

“Seeing her harass a Black woman and attending a violent event is very hypocritical of her.”
