Celine Dion reschedules UK and European leg of the Courage World Tour to 2022

Celine Dion has rescheduled her UK and European Courage World Tour dates to spring 2022 and says her fans will be able to “make up for lost time”.

The singer and fashion icon announced the news via video on Instagram saying: “Hello everyone, I was hoping to see you in Europe this spring but unfortunately the situation is not safe, we still have to wait a little longer, but yes the vaccines are on their way so I promise we’re going to make up for all that lost time in 2022.”

In the caption she also added: “I can’t wait to get out there and sing for you […] so please stay safe and healthy until we see each other again.”

The tour is in support of her 12th English-language studio album Courage. It kicked off in late 2019 with the setlist featuring her iconic hits “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now”, “I’m Alive”, “All by Myself” and of course “My Heart Will Go On”.

Unfortunately the tour was cut short after the coronavirus outbreak, meaning her European fans completely missed out on seeing the star perform, like this amazing dance breakdown moment to “Lady Marmalade” that a fan captured on the tour’s opening night:

In the UK super fans of the singer are no doubt disappointed to miss out on the show, in particular the fan from Staffordshire who legally changed his name to Celine Dion after having too much to drink over the festive period.

The 30-year-old gay man posted on Twitter: “Tier 4 is the least of my worries – I’ve just got home to some post.

“Apparently at some point over Christmas I’ve had one too many vinos and legally changed my name to Celine Dion!”, he added.

Celine’s shows in Birmingham, London, Dublin, Manchester and Glasgow will now take place across May and June with all ticket remaining valid for the rescheduled shows.
