Abandoned is announced as a new PS5 title coming exclusively to the next-gen console
Abandoned is the new survival horror everyone is talking about, after a short trailer gave fans a glimpse of the up-and-coming title coming exclusively to PS5,
On 7 April, PS5 fans were left startled when the new and exciting title was revealed in a tweet that included a four-second clip of someone walking through the woods holding a gun.
The story for Abandoned centres around the main character Jason Longfield, who wakes up in a strange forest. Alone and with no memory of how he ended up there, Jason soon finds out that he was kidnapped and brought there for a dark purpose. Fighting for his survival, Jason’s main goal is to try and escape.
Abandoned is a new survival horror title with a focus on realism and immersion as you escape the woods.

On the official PlayStation Blog, the game director for developers Blue Box Game Studios revealed more information about the game, which will be available exclusively on PS5.
Promising to deliver a unique personal gameplay experience by offering realistic character interaction, smooth character animations and minimal loading screens, PS5 fans can expect high-quality motion capture whilst running at 60 FPS. Also, rendered at a native 4K resolution, the environmental quality is as close to the real thing as possible.
Every event has an influence on your character, so if Jason is out of breath after sprinting (or is afraid), his firing accuracy will suffer. Unlike action shooter titles, firing weapons in Abandoned will be very slow, so you will need to be tactical in order to survive.
Players will feel each and every interaction during gameplay – such as being struck by a bullet. Also, pulling the trigger on a loaded or unloaded gun will feel different. Equally 3D audio will help shape your decisions and tactics, using the accurate positioning of gunshots out in the wilds to help decide your next move.
With all that in mind, it seems we can expect the most realistic graphics, smooth character animations and minimal loading screens when Abandoned is released.
Abandoned will be available exclusively on PS5 around Q4 2021.
