The better Mario brother now has a Lego set coming: the Luigi Starter Course
Following in his brother’s footsteps, the more adorable Mario brother Luigi is set to have his very own Lego set this summer.
The Super Mario Lego set was released back in January and it was only a matter of time before the better brother joined in.
The Adventures with Luigi Starter Course set will be released globally on 1 August priced £49.99 and it’s now available to pre-order from the Lego website.
The Luigi character is technologically the same as Mario – a figure with animated features, a screen on his belly and a special sensor on the bottom – but with unique sounds and voice samples and of course in iconic green.
The set includes a Pink Yoshi, a Bone Goomba, and Bowser’s sidekick Boom Boom for Luigi to interact with, along with familiar Mario obstacles. All components are compatible with the existing Super Mario Lego set.
That includes Nintendo mascot Mario himself, who’s already able to call out to his brother. Presumably the Mario Bros will now be able to team up in Lego brick form.

Since its release, the Super Mario Lego collection has expanded rapidly. It includes the likes of expansion sets based on Bowser’s castle, Boo’s haunted house and Toad’s treasure hunt, as well as character packs featuring Mario friends and foes.
The Mario Bros are able to interact with different components for various sound effects: collecting coins, stomping Goombas, and reaching the finishing flag pole.
Linked together, whole Mushroom Kingdom levels can be built to truly live your Mario Bros fantasy.
Also available is a Lego NES replica, featuring a console, TV, controller and Mario cartridge together made of a whopping 2,646 bricks.
The Adventures with Luigi Starter Course set is available to pre-order now from lego.com before its release on 1 August.
