Big-hearted OnlyFans star Mia Khalifa raises thousands to help Black trans women
Former porn star Mia Khalifa has donated more than $10,000 to help Black trans women access gender affirming surgeries and pay their rent.
Khalifa, who rose to fame on PornHub in 2014, now makes money on OnlyFans – and she recently decided to donate thousands of dollars to For The Gworls, an organisation that provides vital funds to Black trans people.
Mia Khalifa revealed details of her generous gift on her Instagram Stories, writing: “Raised some money on OF (OnlyFans) for women’s day and have been trying to find organisations to donate it to.”
She added: “I love what For The Gworls is doing, thank you for your work and to everyone who donated!”
On Twitter, Khalifa explained that she raised $1,000 and was originally planning to match that amount – but she was so inspired by the work For The Gworls does that she decided to add an extra $9,000 to her donation.
Raised a total of $1k on my OF for women’s charities and found one I wanted to donate to. I was originally going to match, but I love the direct help For The Gworls gives to trans people by assisting with rent and gender affirming procedures, and wanted to do more ♥️ @4THEGWORLS pic.twitter.com/z1yHyO3I8q

She also urged her followers to share details of other organisations that “really need the funding” that she can keep in mind for her next donation effort.
Mia Khalifa has emerged as a critic of the porn industry
Khalifa quickly shot to internet fame in 2014 when she debuted as a porn actor – however, she left the industry just three months later, instead focusing on webcam modelling.
In 2019, she revealed that she made just $12,000 while working in the porn industry, raking in just $1,000 per scene. In more recent times, she has focused her efforts on OnlyFans, where she posts “safe for work content”.
She also offers “unlimited engagement” with fans who aren’t “a*sholes”.
She has emerged as a fierce critic of the porn industry since her hugely-popular stint filming sex scenes. In 2019, she opened up about the challenges she faced in finding a “normal job” after she left sex work behind.
Khalifa has also been open about the impact online abuse had on her. She was subjected to death threats and vile messages after she filmed a porn scene wearing a hijab.
She has also warned other young people that the porn industry can be brutal and “isn’t always sunshine and flowers”.
