Second Extinction, MLB The Show 21 and other new games coming to Xbox Game Pass this month
Xbox have announced the games that will join Game Pass this month, and dinosaur shoot-em-up Second Extinction is one of them.
And the good news is, the fun starts right now.
MLB The Show 21 is now available as part of the subscription service for console and cloud, as previously reported. The baseball series is developed internally at PlayStation studios but arrives on Xbox consoles for the first time due to the game’s licensing holder.
Whether you play on PlayStation or Xbox, cross-play functionality is available. Game Pass players on Xbox Series X/S can play in 4K with 60fps for the best experience.
Game Pass players on PC will have access to Phogs! from 22 April. The adorable and hilarious puzzle game is an ode to life as a dog, where you’ll play as a duo of dogs linked by a stretchy belly. No, really.
It’s available to play in two player co-op too, so you can join a friend as you solve puzzles in the themed worlds of Eat, Sleep and Play.
On 28 April, you’ll be able to blast mutant dinosaurs in the face in Second Extinction. Coming to console, PC and cloud, the game tasks you with teaming up with up to two friends and stopping a dinosaur invasion.
The following day, 29 April, Destroy All Humans! also arrives on Game Pass for cloud, console and PC users. You’ll invade 1950s Earth as the little grey evil alien Crypto-137 to harvest human DNA and destroy humanity using alien weaponry and telekinetic powers. The game is also coming to Nintendo Switch soon.
Lastly, cloud users will have access to two Fable titles: Fable 3 originally released on Xbox 360, and Fable Anniversary, the HD remaster of the first game in the series on the original Xbox. The RPG is a modern classic and the Anniversary edition includes all extra content.
Fable fans are eagerly awaiting the next game in the series, teased at the Xbox Game Showcase in July 2020 but with no new details since.
Xbox have just announced a closed beta for cloud gaming on PC and iOS devices. Select Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be invited to the beta, where games can be streamed on mobile devices through the cloud.
