Kylie Minogue and Drag Race icon Naomi Smalls join forces and fans can’t handle it
Drag Race legend Naomi Smalls has performed a truly spectacular lip-sync to Kylie Minogue’s song “Dancefloor Darling” – and fans cannot cope.
The drag icon lip-synced to the track, which is on Minogue’s latest album Disco – and she quickly caught the eye of the princess of pop herself.
Kylie Minogue shared the shimmering performance on Instagram, which shows Naomi Smalls serving disco realness in a sparkling costume and headband on stage.
“Thanks Naomi Smalls for this. The whole routine was [fire emoji],” Kylie wrote on Instagram.
Smalls replied: “Love you. LOVE DISCO. Thank you for everything,” alongside an emoji of a person dancing. “How is there still no disco ball emoji?!” she added.
Fans are desperate for Kylie Minogue and Naomi Smalls to work together
To say fans were excited at the two icons hitting it off would be an understatement, and they quickly rushed into the comments on Minogue’s post to beg them to work together.
“Bring her on the Disco tour please,” one person wrote.
Another wrote: “Yes Kylie and Naomi” while one fan summed up the entire internet’s feelings, simply writing: “Queens of everything,” alongside a heart emoji.
This is not the first time Smalls has lip-synced to a Kylie song. In 2015, she performed to the pop legend’s track “More, More, More”. Minogue also shared a clip of Smalls lip-syncing to another one of her songs on her Instagram Stories in March.
Smalls’ iconic lip-sync comes just days after the Australian pop star was confirmed as a guest judge on Drag Race Down Under.
Kylie’s slot was confirmed in April, ending months of speculation that she would be appearing alongside RuPaul and Michelle Visage to judge looks and lip-syncs.
In a statement, Kylie Minogue said: “I’m so excited to finally be a part of RuPaul’s Drag Race for the first series of Down Under.”
She added: “It’s such an iconic show and I can’t wait to watch the contestants perform their hearts out to win the title of Down Under’s first Drag Superstar!”
